(Boys 9 to 12 years old, Girls 8 to 11 years old)

This is one of the most important stages for developing motor skills in any youngster. At this stage children are now mature enough both physically and mentally to start acquiring more advanced golfing fundamentals. If the child has been properly introduced to golf in Stage 1 they should already be having fun, and if we can continue their enjoyment and progress there is a great chance they can build a long lasting desire to play this game.

Our goals are now to teach more advanced motor skills and more advanced golf skills. This period is also a very important window in a child’s athletic development and subsequently any sport or activity that compliments golf development should be encouraged. It is the perfect time to teach swing and short game basics along with other important components such as flexibility, strength, speed, balance and power.
